Rebecca Jane Long, 66, of Charles Town, WV passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.
Born July 21, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Stottlemyer and Margaret Virginia Ford Stottlemyer.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Becky was always smiling and was happy-go-lucky. She loved fishing and playing bingo. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her companion, Larry Long of Charles Town; four daughters, Rebecca “Sissy” Long and fiancé, James of Baker, WV; Denise Dawn Long of Virginia; Christina Jenkins and husband, Ronnie of Kearneysville, WV and Stephanie Buffaloboy and husband, Bobby of Kearneysville, WV; five sisters, Shirley Roper, Charlena Thompson and husband, Walter, Dianne Ruffner and husband, Kenny, Barbara Gunder and husband, Randy and Donna Stottlemyer; three brothers, Donald L. Stottlemyer and wife, Debra; Charles E. Stottlemyer, Jr. and wife, Pat, Anthony W. Stottlemyer and wife, Ann and brother-in-law, Ray Boyd; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Long, Jr. daughter, Penny Sue Long, son, Robert F. Long, III “Tubby” and sister, Margaret V. Boyd.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, WV.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm.
