Fred Powell Puffer, beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on May 6, 2017.
Fred was born February 10, 1933 in Beaver, Utah to Fredick Joseph and Stella V. Powell Puffer.
He graduated from Beaver High School. Fred loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, farming and especially riding his mule Knipper. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and great-grandkids. He farmed all summer and worked hard, so in the fall he could pack camp up south fork.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Fred married Glenna Elaine Merchant on September 4, 1954 in Beaver, Utah. Glenna and Fred were married for 62 years and loved each other dearly. They spent every moment they could with each other
Fred is survived by his wife Glenna Elaine Puffer, his children Dan P. Puffer, Debbie Mainwood (Alan), Lenzy M. Puffer (Ellan) all of Beaver, Utah. Grandchildren Amanda Cooley (Jeremiah) Cedar City Angie Rust (Ryan) Beaver Utah Daniel Dekker (Sandy) St. George, Utah Charlie Puffer and many more Grandchildren and great children.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fredick Joseph and Stella V. Puffer, his sister Stella Marie Puffer Dalley.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Mt. View Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
