Mary Pauline Prater, 81, entered into her eternal rest on Sunday May 7, 2017. Mary was born on March 18, 1936 in Clayhole, Kentucky to Russell and Abby Hardin. She was a devout Baptist Christian, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. Mary worked as an office administrator in Kentucky for many years, before moving to Ocala, where she then started working in Real Estate. She enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, and painting. She was also a member of the Oakcrest Baptist Church in Ocala, FL.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Her memory will be forever treasured by her son, James (Debbie) Prater of Tucker, Georgia; her grandson, Jeremy Prater; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Russel (Bertha) Hardin, Jr. of Harrodsburg, KY, Henry Hardin of KY, John (Shirley) Hardin of Harrodsburg, KY, and Granvel (Fran) Hardin of Irvin, KY,
The family will be receiving friends and family from 12pm-2pm on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Roberts Funeral Home Downtown Chapel located at 606 SW 2nd Ave Ocala, FL 34471. Services will follow at 2pm also located at the Downtown Chapel. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mary, 2100 SE 17th Street Ocala, FL 34471.
