He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. He is the son of Barbara Worsham Pace of Hendersonville and the late James Carroll Pace.
He graduated from Faith Christian School, Asheville–Buncombe Technical Community College and had graduated from Southern Christian University with a Masters in Theology and a Doctorate in Religion.
Dale started his career and served 19 years as a Paramedic with Henderson County Emergency Medical Services. He also served with the Henderson County Rescue Squad for 21 years in various capacities including: Captain and Chaplain. He served in the ministry for ten years including at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Maple, NC and Red Hill Baptist Church in Polkton, NC.
He was a member of East Flat Rock First Baptist Church.
He loved to hike, camp and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time outside with his children especially participating in baseball with his son.
Surviving in addition to his mother is, his son, Gabriel Pace; his daughter, Hannah Pace; his aunt, DeAnn Smith and his uncles, George Pace and Howard Worsham.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday at the East Flat Rock First Baptist with Rev. Jeff Neelands officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service in the church and at other times will be at his home.
