Tiffany Lee Carter, 13, of 1735 Crozier Ave., died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Aug. 28, 1989, in Madison, the daughter of Roy G. and Lynn Mathews Carter. She would have been a seventh grade student at the Madison Consolidated Junior High School, but due to her ill health she was taking special classes at the Oakville School District in St. Louis. She attended Calvary Wesleyan Church.

Surviving, besides her parents, are her grandmothers, Violet E. Carter and Elizabeth Higdon, both of Madison; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Carter and Bernard Mathews; and her step-grandfather, Jesse Higdon.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the First Assembly of God Church, with burial in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and after 11 a.m. Friday, at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Tiffany Lee Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund. Contribution cards will be available at the church, or at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home Madison Chapel.
