Kyle Brantley, 42, of Shreveport, formerly of Carthage, passed away on Sunday morning, May 7, 2016, in Shreveport. Jason Kyle Brantley was born on Dec. 27, 1974, in Haynesville, LA to Freddie Mack and Connie Simmons Brantley. He attended Carthage schools and worked as an oilfield consultant. Kyle married Samantha Baggett on Aug. 4, 2004, in Carthage. He was an excellent cook, enjoyed playing golf, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Kyle was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife Samantha of Shreveport; his mother, Connie Brantley of Carthage; and three children, Haley Brantley of Carthage and Trenton and Kylea Brantley of Shreveport. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Kyle.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Clint Stephenson, Wendell Martin, Dr. Brian Smith, Robert Lee Brantley, Marty Thompson, and Gary Beckett.
