Ms. Emma Louise Horton, age 92 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, May 08, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at Parks Grove Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 am. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 Friday evening at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Ms. Horton was born January 29th, 1925 in Ashe County to Larkin and Elizabeth Triplette Parks. She was a member of Parks Grove Baptist Church. Ms. Horton was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son; James E. Horton.
Ms. Horton is survived by a brother; John H. Horton of Nashville TN, three daughters; Elisabeth Powell of North Wilkesboro, Marilyn Whittington and husband Maurice of North Wilkesboro and Karen Horton of Statesville, three sons; John H. Horton and wife Evelyn of Charlotte, Romie Horton and wife Doris of Charlotte and Joseph A. Horton and wife Arnita of Wilkesboro thirteen grandchildren; Tonya Horton, Romie Horton, Latice Horton, Mitchell Horton, Tomica Horton, Joseph Horton, Jr., Aaron Horton, Tanis Whittington, Nicolas Whittington, Brett Millsaps, Natasha Millsaps Watson, Brice Millsaps and Tabrien Millsaps and fifteen great grandchildren; Boris, Romie, Isabella, Khloe, Jasmyne, Malleah, Tamia, Trae Von, Liam, Abigail, Malkah, Yamin, Olivia, Isabelle, Natalie.
