Margie L. “Tommie” Lewis, 94, of Hawley, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017.
Services will be held Wednesday, at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church, Hawley, Texas, with Pastor Keith Clifton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hawley Cemetery, under the direction of North’s Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. ~ 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, in North’s Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St.
Margie was born February 5, 1923 in Iberis, Texas to Jim and Lou (Hindsley) Copeland.
She married Roy Lewis on June 10, 1939. They moved to Hawley in 1946.
She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Hawley.
She loved gardening, crocheting, camping and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughters, Marion Boyd and Barbara Ince.
She is survived by her son, James Lewis and wife Linda. Grandchildren; Callie Clark, Sharon Davenport and husband Bobby, Steven Ince, Shannon Ince, Todd Lewis and wife Kelly, Tery Lewis and wife Dawn.One sister, Irene Newton. Twelve great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
