Troy Hilliard Manning, age 84, of Douglasville, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. He was born on October 12, 1932, in Rome, Georgia, the son of the late Cyrus Hilliard Manning and the late Bessie Worley Manning. Troy was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict and he was a member of American Legion Post #145. He retired as a mechanic at North Brothers Insulation and was Baptist by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Foster.
Troy is survived by his wife, Betty Payne Manning; children, Carolyn Manning, Carol Swann, Nita Manning, and Rossi Desantis; brother, Leonard Manning;
two granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, and a Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM from Mozley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Josh Agan officiating.
