Frances H. Crawford (nee Blake)
AGE: 107 • Collingswood and Ocean City
On Friday, May 5, Frances joined her beloved husband Frank in Heaven.
Born in Camden on June 30, 1909, Frances graduated from Camden Catholic High School and then began employment with the Camden Trust Company. After she married J. Frank Crawford in 1949 and raised two children, Frances assisted students at the Learning Center on the White Horse Pike in Collingswood and taught reading at the primary school of The Church of the Transfiguration. Frances' life was marked by her undying love and loyalty to her family, her determination, her love of laughter and conversation. She was a lifelong Democrat and voted in the last election.
She is predeceased by her husband, J. Frank Crawford, Esq, her sisters Mary Strasser (Edward), Jane McGowan (Edward), Katherine McConnell (John) and brother Robert J. Blake (Bernice). She is survived by her loving children Frances M. Crawford, James F. Crawford (Angela) and granddaughter Christina Crawford, of whom she was very proud.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Wednesday May 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at BLAKE-DOYLE Funeral Home, 226 W. Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108 and Thursday May 11, 9:30 AM at the Church of the Transfiguration-Most Precious Blood in Collingswood. A Mass of Christian burial will commence following the viewing at 10:30 A.M. Interment to follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Glassboro, NJ.
