Patsy Marie Sandlin Thompson, 89, of Port Neches, died Saturday, May 6, 2017. She was born on September 15, 1927, in Nederland, to Amy Derouen Sandlin and W.E. “Bill” Sandlin.

Patsy was a graduate of Nederland High School. Patsy and her sister, Joy, were professional singers, known as the Sandlin Sisters. The thing she enjoyed most in life was loving her friends and family.

Survivors include her sons, Charles P. Thompson of Brazoria and James E. Thompson of Port Arthur; brother, Billy Gene “Bing” Sandlin; sister-in-law, Marjorie Sandlin; nieces, Gay Lyn Burke of Brookeland and Julie Kay Sandlin of Utah; and nephews, Gary Kent Wilson of Little Cypress; Mark Evan Wilson of Bevil Oaks; and Brian David Sandlin of Port Arthur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Joy Elaine Wilson.

Memorial contributions for Ms. Thompson may be made to First Baptist Church, 1900 Magnolia, Port Neches, Texas 77651.

A gathering of Ms. Thompson’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
