Donald Frank Hagerman
1924-2017
Donald F. Hagerman of Bear Island, NB passed away May 6, 2017 at Scott’s Special Care Home, Upper Woodstock, NB. Donald was born at Bear Island in 1924, a son of the late Ward D. and Edith J. (Collicott) Hagerman.

During his working years Donald drove school bus, did small motor repair, sharpened skates and filed chainsaws. He also was employed in woodswork, leading to entering and winning bucksaw competitions at local fairs. Donald could play the harmonica and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. His favorite treat was coffee and Mrs. Dunster’s Donuts.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Hagerman of Springfield, NB and several nieces and nephews.]

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Doris and six brothers, Neil, Cecil (late Bertha), Myles, Ernest, Harry and Stanley (late Inez).

Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. when a funeral service will be held with Rev. George Clark officiating. Interment will follow at the Bear Island Cemetery.
