"Mrs. Roxana Allen, an old resident of this town [Coventry, VT], died at the home of her son last Wednesday. She was the widow of the late Levi Allen. Funeral at the M. E. church on Friday, Rev. Mr. Eddy, assisted by Rev. L. Harlow, officiating. The friends of the deceased desire to extend sincere thanks to the many who assisted them in caring for and in burying a beloved friend." Roxana is buried with her son Chester, who lived in Glover. Chester's wife had died before his father (Levi) died -- they had no children. When Levi died they were both left alone -- Roxana's other children were busy with their families. The location of Levi's grave is unknown.
