Shelly Harmon, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Shelly was born on March 13, 1956 in Hawthorne, California to Bonnie Rae Allison and Edgar Allen Harmon.

She lived in various places during her life including; Manhattan Beach, California, Moreland, Blackfoot, Shelley, and Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Shelly graduated from Aviation High School in Redondo Beach, California.

She loved to sing! She sang in the ward choir and loved it. Lola Harrigfeld, her Certified Home Provider and “mom,” said “Every time [they] sang she had a smile. You could tell she loved it so much.”

Shelly’s mother Bonnie, taught her how to embroider and she embroidered many pillowcases, baby bibs and even a quilt top that she put together into a beautiful quilt.

She enjoyed activities in Idaho Falls and Rigby Developmental Centers, and previously helped her mother do women’s hair at the Blackfoot Assisted Living Center.

She was a member of the Milo Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Shelly is survived by her eight siblings and their spouses; Douglas & Linda Harmon of Thousand Oaks, California; Dan & Sandra Thomas of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mark & Peggy Steele of American Fork, Utah; Terry & Margie Lisonbee of Delta, Utah; David & Dodie Harmon of Rigby, Idaho; Kelly & Julia Harmon of Logan, Utah; Kevin & Ellen Harmon of Alpharetta, Georgia; and Penny Schwicht of American Fork, Utah.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edgar & Bonnie Harmon; grandparents Sam & Veva Daw Harmon; Fred & Grace Foster Allison Rohde.

A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. Blackfoot, Idaho.
A viewing will take place one hour prior to the funeral services from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment will follow the services in the Grove City Cemetery.
