She married M.Z. Stevens in Abilene on February 18, 1941.
She worked in the Banking-Payroll Dept. for 1st National Bank of Anchorage, AK. She was a member of the Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
Joye was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jean Higgins.
She is survived by her husband M.Z. Stevens of Abilene. One son, Ronnie Stevens & wife Gaylene of Salida, CO. Sister, Janice Edwards & husband Dee of Abilene. Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
