Russell Wayne McCoy was the son of Anna Eula Bunger and William Thomas McCoy. Russell married Margaret Smith on August 8, 1936 in Ekron. To this union two sons were born, Dr. William Joseph "Billy Joe" McCoy (1938) and Dr. Robert Wayne "Bobby" McCoy (1944).
Grandchildren Gretchen, Tracy, Amy, and David McCoy.
Mr. Russell was a former teacher in Meade County before his retired from Olin Chemical Corporation in 1975. A faithful member, Sunday School teacher and Deacon of Ekron Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a member of Harrison Lodge 122 F&A.M.
