Lewis George Jenkins, Jr., passed away on May 3, 2017, in Conroe, Texas. He was born on May 1, 1940, to Lewis George Jenkins, Sr. and Mydusta McGuire Jenkins in Huntsville. Lewis was known by most as Lil' George, George, and his nieces and nephews referred to him as "Jack".

George, was united in holy matrimony with Mattie Jewel Lee. To this union, four children were born. Mattie Jewel, who was the love of his life, preceded him in death. George had a love for fast cars, nice clothes, and was a devoted man who loved his family.

He will be truly missed by his loved ones that include his daughter: Modesta Williams (Anthony); of Prosper, TX., Lewis Jenkins, Kirby Jenkins, and Shedrick Jenkins; all of Huntsville, TX., siblings: Lucy Jenkins Burnett, Jodie Jenkins Oliphant, Dorothy Jenkins Lewis, Donald Jenkins (Veronica), Marshall Jenkins (Cassie), Zale Jenkins (Birdie), Gloria Jenkins Lee (Billy), Lynette Jenkins Qualls, and Cassandra Jenkins Shephard, sister-in-laws: Doris Jenkins, Maggie Downey, and Eva Spencer, twelve grandchildren: Rickey Royal (Sherrisa), Vesha Royal, Anthony Williams, Micah Williams, Jaelynn Williams, Ronika Briggs Jenkins, Zion Jenkins, Talynn Jenkins, Shamar Jenkins, Trinity Jenkins, Shedrick Jenkins, Jr. and Mya Jenkins, great-grandchildren: Robbie Royal and Kai Royal, special cousin: Curtis Wyatt, and a host of nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends. Friday, May 5, 2017, 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. viewing will be at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will come together to celebrate George's life on Saturday, May 6, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Greater Robinson Memorial C.O.G.I.C. in Huntsville. Burial will follow in St. Olive Cemetery in Riverside, Texas.
