Iona Marie McGraw Hervey, 85 of Spencer, entered heaven on May 4, 2017. She was born in Blue Creek, Ohio, June 5, 1931 to Charles and Icie (nee Chamblin) Baker.
She was a homemaker, wife and mother. Iona lived a Christ like life and served her Lord to the end. She was always a humble, giving, sweet person. To meet her was to love her. She never met a stranger and gave unconditional love to all. She always called her children and grandchildren her jewels. Her legacy to her family was to trust God, work hard and always be kind to others.
She was the grand lady of Spencer known for her beautiful flowers and artistic abilities.
She is survived by her daughters,
Scherry Gaugler of Spencer
Theresa (John) Metck of Chatham
Kathleen (John) Scheiring of Westfield Center
Crystal Hervey of Spencer
She is also survived by,
12 Grandchildren
19 Great Grandchildren
5 Great-Great Grandchildren
And many precious friends
Family will receive friends Monday, May 8 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Parker Funeral Home, 202 E Main St., Spencer, OH (330-648-2180).
A Homecoming Celebration Service will follow at 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pastor Joseph Ford will officiate.
Private family burial will be in Spencer Cemetery.
