Reverend James "Jim" Durdin, 79, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at home surrounded by his family.

Jim was born February 15, 1938 in Jasper, Texas to James M. Durdin, Sr. and Katherine Yarbrough Durdin.

He was a graduate of Beaumont High and a resident of this area for more than 55 years. Jim was the owner and manager of Skillman Furniture Store for 40 years, and was a retired minister of Woodcrest Baptist Church in Groves, Texas. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960-1966.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Suella Skillman Durdin; three daughters, Michele Singleton and husband Alan, Cathy C. Willenborg and husband David and Amy Ferro and husband Dennis; brother, Richard A. Durdin and wife Dorothy; and five grandchildren.

Burial: Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas
