Ms. Margaret Louise Ramsey, age 87 of Griffin, Georgia entered the gates of Heaven on May 4, 2017. She was born July 18, 1929 to the late Mrs. Clea Smith Stalknaker and Mr. Watson Stalknaker. Soon after birth, her loving mother gave her up for adoption. She was adopted by the world’s best parents the late Clifford and
The late Mrs. Sollie Mae Davis Singley. They moved from Cobb County and raised Ms. Ramsey in Sunny Side Georgia.
She was known by many as Nanny. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a very hard worker, dedicated employee at the Lowell Bleachery, Best Manufacturing and 1888 Mills, where she worked many years. She loved Jesus and loved going to Faith Baptist Church where she raised her children. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society of Barnesville. Her longtime friend Ms. Jeri Martin faithfully took her to all the outings. Ms. Ramsey is preceded in death by her parents along with her loving husband the late Horace Ramsey.
She leaves to cherish her memories son, Andy Ramsey; daughter, Cathy Ramsey; son, Ricky Ramsey and wife Cindy; daughter, Vickie Wilder and husband Ricky all of Griffin.
Grandchildren, Haley Wilder and husband Michael, Travis Mizell and wife Erik of Griffin, Joshua Ramsey of Crestview, Fl., Austin Ramsey of Griffin, Kristy and husband Nathan of Carrollton, Ga.;
Great grandchildren, Lila, Kaley, Randy Wilder, Trintin and Ella Mizell, Brittany and Seth Harper.
Special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ham; several nieces and nephews and friends. A special thanks to Heritage Nursing Facility in Barnesville, Georgia for their service and care.
Visitation for Margaret Louise Ramsey will be on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Pastor Mike Barnes and Pastor Kevin Judy will officiate. Interment will follow at the Griffin Memorial Gardens
