Funeral services for Nancy Christopher Harwell, 87, resident of the Austin Hewitt Home, were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at Bennett-May Funeral Home, conducted by Gilbert E. Shaffer, minister of East Hill Church of Christ. Burial took place in the Harwell Cemetery at Cedar Grove. Mrs. Harwell died Saturday afternoon, April 1, at the Home after a long illness. Born December 26, 1873, in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Christopher & Louisa Browning Harwell. Her husband, W. F. Harwell, died several years ago. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Harwell is survived by one son, William Osborne Harwell; seven grandchildren & sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ben Holt & Mrs. John Bledsoe, both of Pulaski; & one brother, Ross Christopher, Tucson, Ariz.; one half-brother, Guy Christopher, Toledo, Ohio.
Bennett-May Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
