Mildred Jewell Kenyon, age 93, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born in Stotts City, Missouri and lived most her lifetime in Branson until she moved to Springfield a few years ago. She graduated from Southwest Missouri Teachers College (currently MSU) in Springfield. She married William F. Kenyon July 29, 1956 and taught in Branson schools for 38 years. She was recognized by the mayor and alderman of Branson on April 12, 1982 for the excellence of her skill, compassion and ability as a teacher and molder of young minds.
She was a 78 year member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Branson, P.E.O., Retired Teachers, and previously was active in the Branson Women's Business Professional Organization.
She is survived by her brother Joe Roy Jr. (Betty) Allen, and nieces and nephews, Bob (Caren) Journagan, Ron (Philly) Journagan, Jewell (Michael) Coulson, Tom (Rosa) Allen, Jim (Gisela) Allen, Sarah (Larry) Morse, Mike Allen, Tim (Julie) Allen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, parents Joe Roy and Jewell Allen, sister Lena June Journagan, and brother John Allen.
Burial in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
