In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John A. Bennett. He is survived by: his wife of 63 years, Carol Yates Bennett; his children; Valerie (Isaac) Bennett Jones and Anthony Bennett, of Maysville, David (Brenda) Bennett, of Aberdeen, Ohio, and Kirby (Lisa) Bennett, Jackson (Paula) Bennett, Jr., and Janae Turner, of Maysville; two sisters, Peggy (Charles) Davis, of Maysville, and Edna (Vincent) Thomas, of Ghana, Ohio; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, at the Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory, in May’s Lick, with the Rev. James Turley officiating. Interment will follow in the May’s Lick Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are suggested to Scott United Methodist Church, c/o Marilyn Commodore, P.O. Box 135, Maysville, Kentucky 41056.
