Wesley was born January 15, 1938 in Glendive to Harry Delbert and Liala (Davidson) Green. He was raised in Union, and completed first through sixth grade at Clear Creek Country School. He completed his education in Glendive, and graduated from Dawson County High School in May of 1956. After high school, Wesley joined the Air Force and was stationed in Greenville, South Carolina. He served a four year period, from 1956 to 1962. During his enlistment, he also served a six-to-eight month tour in Germany. On October 6, 1957, Wesley married Judith Appleby, and to this union four children were born; Debra, William, Susan, and Tom. In 1964, Wesley started working for Lyle Edwards on his farm. From 1965-1968, he was a mechanic for Urbanec Motors. He also worked part-time driving truck for Butane Power Equipment. In 1968, he began working as a truck driver for Gates City Dairy, where he retired from in 2002. He then began driving truck for Cross Petroleum, where he retired from in 2009. He spent from 2010-2011 working for Dufner Dairy House Route. During his other careers, Wesley had a paper route and delivered the Billings Gazette for thirty years. He retired from the Billings Gazette in 2010.
Wesley loved anything with wheels, but he was especially fond of John Deere Tractors. He had a collection that held thousands of tractors. His pride and joy was his 1953 John Deere AR Tractor. He was also proud to have held the second place position in the 1992 Annual Thresher's Association Slow Race in Makoti, North Dakota. Wesley and Judith chose this race to be their anniversary getaway every year. In fact, they attended so many years that they became annual volunteer helpers for the event.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lila, and his wife, Judith.
Wesley is survived by his children, Debra (Jerry) Spicher of Veguita, New Mexico, William Green of Billings, Montana, Susan (Joe Crossgrove) Devlin of Miles City, Montana, and Tom (Charli) Green of Glendive; grandchildren, Michael Devlin of Miles City, Tyler Devlin of Missoula, Montana, Jessica Green of Glendive, and T.J. Green of Glendive; great-granddaughter, Abrianna Strong of Glendive; brothers, Peter Harry (Norma) Green of Lompoc, California, and William James (Jean) Green of Belgrade, Montana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
