Glen loved children and had a very special gift for connecting with them. Children naturally gravitated to him and loved how he would always make time to play games and tell funny stories. Glen’s true loving spirit came out the most when he was with children, especially his beloved nieces and nephew who will miss him dearly.
Glen was an avid football fan and loved his Ole Miss Rebels and the New York Giants. He also loved fishing and often joked that someday he was going to go fishing “three days a week – today, tomorrow, and yesterday”. We have no doubt that he has already found the best fishing hole in Heaven.
He is survived by his parents, Bernard and Marilyn Riley of Doylestown, PA, brothers Wayne Riley of Denver, CO and Peyton Riley and his wife Tammy of Chester, NJ and five beloved nieces and nephews, Christopher, Amanda, Paige, Brooke, and Sydney. We will miss the fun and laughter that he brought to our children, his warm and genuine kind heart, and talking with him about his Ole Miss Rebels and New York Giants.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 7th at 3:00pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 6587 Upper York Road, Solebury, PA. As per Glen’s wishes, his remains will be interred at Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery in Andalusia, AL alongside four generations of Rileys before him at the church where his ancestors were founding members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Center at St. Jude http://giftfunds.stjude.org/glen-m-riley
