Etta Lee Turner, 88 passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the home of her son in Talbott, surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Monroe County but made her home in Mohawk, Tn. She was preceded in death by her husband 53 years, Robert ”Cotton” Turner; grandsons, Russell, Scott and Steven; parent, John A. and Dora McMahan Cooper and step-father, Jim McCarter; 5 brothers, 3 sisters and all their spouses.

She is survived by her 6 children; Robert (Peggy) of Michigan, Milton of Tennessee, Linda (Jon) Cooros of Indiana, Lenord (Glenda) of Tennessee, Bruce of Tennessee, Lana (Sammy) Collins of Tennessee; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a hardworking mother who was full of love; always there for us and had a giving heart for everyone that came into her life. The Lord said. “Well, done, my good and faithful servant, welcome home”.

The family will be available to receive friends from 2:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday May 4, 2017 and Friday, May 5, 2017 from 10:00 – 12:00 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 with Pastor Junior Loveday presiding. Interment will follow in Phillippi Cemetery, in Mohawk, Tn.
