Mildred Laverne Ferguson, 83, of Arlington passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

Visitation 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 6 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Internment 1 p.m. Tuesday at Houston National Cemetery

Millie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She had a creative spirit and became an avid photographer with wonderful friends at the Fort Worth Camera Club. She loved gardening, baking and making sweets for friends and family. Always up for a trip, she loved to travel.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Lyle Dean Ferguson; parents Clyde and Susie Faye Smith; sister Rose Orr; brother Clyde Smith, Jr.

Survived by sons, Darrell Dean Ferguson and wife, Veronica, David James Ferguson, and Douglas Lyle Ferguson; sisters Evelyn Joyce Wallace, and Helen Bailey ( JC Bailey); brother-in-law WA Orr, Jr.; grandchildren, Krystal Hanegan ( Pete), Kirby Ferguson, and Katlyn Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Tristan Hanegan, Everett Hanegan, and Lyla Hanegan; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to express our sincere thanks for the compassionate care given by the team at Medical Center of Arlington and Grace Hospice. If desired, in lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to the Fort Worth Camera Club, 1708 Brooks Drive Arlington, TX 76012.
