Mark C. Mason, 65, of Forest Park, Ga. died Tuesday, Apr.5, 2016.
Mr. Mason was a U.S. Army Veteran. For most of his life he worked as a painter. He enjoyed working in his yard and making recycled artwork in his shop. He also loved trips to the North Georgia mountains; which was evident in much of his artwork.
Mr. Mason is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Aaron Jinks of Pike Co. Ga.; a half-brother, Frederick McElwaney and family of Jasper, Ga.; niece, Sarah Jinks; great niece, Aubrianna Johnson of Thomaston, Ga.;nephew, Edward Jinks and family of Martinez, Ga.; three step siblings, cousins, and special friend, Cindy Weeks, who was like a sister to Mark over the last several years and a great help to him. He will also be missed by close neighbors.
Mr. Mason is preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia K. McElwaney and his father, Carl A. Mason, Jr..
A simple graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Forest Park on Saturday, Apr. 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
