He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and retired after twenty-five years from the Southern Company. Larry enjoyed fishing at the Altamaha River and at the coast, and entertaining family and friends with a regular fish fry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. “Bill” Dickerson and Onita Conner Dickerson.
Mr. Dickerson is survived by two sons, Jeremy Dickerson and wife Megan of Powder Springs, and James Dickerson of Milledgeville; one daughter, Brittany Dickerson of Vidalia; one grandson, Sawyer Dickerson of Powder Springs; one sister, Sandy Dickerson Olivarez and husband Ricky of Cedar Crossing; three nephews, and numerous cousins.
There will be no service; however, the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 8th from 5:00 until 8:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 201 South Main St., Suite A, Statesboro GA 30458.
