Funeral services for Willie Lee Armstrong, 77, of Saint Joseph, LA will be held at Maryland Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Larry Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Armstrong was born on December 18, 1934 in Luxora, Ark and passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her residence in St. Joseph. She was a resident of St. Joseph, a Home Maker and an active member of Maryland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Denver J. Armstrong; father, Nibblet Monroe Conley; mother, Georgie Lee Hicks; sons, Dickey Lee Armstrong and Jeff Armstrong; siblings, Elvis Monroe Conley, Charles Edward Conley, Francis Naomie Tillery, Louis Boyd, Hattie Lucille Griggs, Dorothy Swain, and Lillie Mae Wilson.
Survivors include her four children; Joe Armstrong, Shannon D. Armstrong, Connie J. Armstrong and Eric M. Armstrong; and three sisters, Ann Rushing, Wilma McPike, and Glenn Tillery. She was also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The Pallbearers will be Barry Harlow, Denver Hicks, Donnie Vandeven, Gary Hicks, Jason Griggs and Mark Reynolds. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Hayden and Kenneth Jordan.
The family will receive friends Maryland Baptist Church from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2012.
