Brownstown Man Dies In Crash

 

Pvt. David Keith Miller, 21, of Brownstown, was killed Saturday morning in a one car accident about one mile east of Abilene, Kansas, on U.S. 40 when the car in which he was riding struck a bridge. Further details of the accident was not immediately available.

 

A lifetime resident of this area, Pvt. Miller was a 1966 graduate of Brownstown Central High School and a member of the DeMolay chapter there. He attended the Brownstown Christian Church.

 

Before entering the service he was employed at The H. L. Canfield Company plant in Seymour for two years.

 

Born October 17, 1948, in Seymour, he was the son of Homer Clifton Miller of Campbellsburg, and Mrs. Ernest McMahan, of 217 West Walnut street, Brownstown.

 

In March 1967 in Seymour he married Mary Ruth Brewer, who survives.

 

In addition to the parents and the widow, he is survived by a daughter, Julie Michelle, at home, a brother, Roger Miller of Brownstown; a sister, Mrs. David (Sharon) Waskom, of Seymour, the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Peek, of Medora; and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Miller of Salem R3.

 

Funeral services are pending and will be announced later by the Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown.

Miller Rites Set Thursday

 

Funeral services for Pvt. David Keith Miller, 21, of Brownstown, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Brownstown Christian Church.

 

The Rev. William Weaver, pastor of the Reddington Christian Church, will officiate. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.

 

Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown.
