He was born on January 17, 1958 to Eugene and Alice (Hunt) Gee in Defiance. James was a "Master Craftsman" in carpentry, specializing in oak wood, and has made grandfather clocks, furniture, and has built several homes. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, taking long walks to enjoy nature and flowers, and would challenge any willing opponent to a game of chess. He always said, "If you have solid oak, why would anyone paint it?"
James will be greatly missed by his sisters, Carol (Mike) Wagner of Defiance, and Elaine (Dan) Stewart of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Eugene Gee.
There will be no services per James' request.
