Darlene was born on August 18, 1936 near Bloomfield, Nebraska the daughter of Ivan and Delia (James) Bellis. She attended North View Country School and then moved with her family to Sioux City where she continued with her education. Darlene married William J. Roberts in 1963 in Elk Point, SD. She and her husband made their home in South Sioux City where she raised her family. She loved to go dancing at the local senior citizens center and listen to country music. She also enjoyed her many long walks around town with her daughter. Darlene is survived by her daughter, Renee Roberts of South Sioux City, son, Brad and his wife Dottie Roberts , four grandsons, Noah, Taylor, Jonah, and Johnathan all of Lemars, three sisters Lorraine Hankins of Obert, NE, Karen Boyle of Dakota City, and Deloris Burke of South Sioux City, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1984, and four brothers, Wilbert, Lyle, Myrle, and Ronald.
