Born and raised in Duluth MN.
He attained Eagle Scout, served in the USAF, and was employed for 38 years in the Facilities Organization at Engineering Research Association which would go on to become Univac, Sperry, and Unisys during his tenure.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Corrinne (Corky) Keller Nicholson, daughter Laura, and sons Donald (Sheri), Robert (Sandy), and John (Kate) and granddaughters Alexandra and Wren and sister-in-law, Rose Nicholson, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and William Nicholson, sisters Dorothy (Robert) Falk and Beverly (Glen) Hanson and brother Bill.
