Mrs. Jeanette Joyner Goodman, age 87, of McDonough, GA passed away May 3, 2017. Jeanette was born in Henry County the daughter of the late Leila Mae Moore Joyner and Thomas Edward Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry William Goodman and sister, JoAnn Morton and Mary Dollar; brothers, Jimmy, Donald and Gerald Joyner.


Jeanette was a member of McDonough First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, helping other people and was known for her outgoing personality. She was active with her ladies group the “Chickadees”.


Survivors are children, Nancy and Jerry Little of Fayetteville, Vicki and Bill Knight of Dayton, OH, Ronnie and Beth Goodman of Snellville and Neal and Cheryl Goodman of McDonough; brothers, J. T. Joyner, David Joyner, and Carlton Joyner; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 5, 2017 – from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 – 1:00 PM at McDonough United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Messer officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough.


Arrangements are being handled under the direction of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough (770.914.8833).
