He was born in Anderson County, S.C., Oct. 23, 1918, son of the late Fred Bolt and Blanche Hall Bolt. He retired from Coble Dairy where he worked as a sales branch manager. Mr. Bolt was a member of Mulls Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Shirley Brown Bolt; son, Paul H. Bolt Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Kings Mountain; daughters, Joyce Throneburg and husband, Terry, of Newton, Teresa Wray and husband, Roger, of Shelby, and Susan Briggs and husband, Mike, of Gastonia; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Thursday, Nov. 20, 11 a.m., Mulls Memorial Baptist Church
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service, at the church.
