Zena Davis, 67, died Saturday Sept. 2 in St Vincents Hospital.
She was a member of the first Human Relations committee appointed by Mayor Alex M. Clark in 1953.
She was born in Russia and lived in Indianapolis 50 years.
She resided at 2804 E. Kessler Blvd.
Services were monday at Aaron Ruben Funeral Home. Burial was in Beth El cemetery.
She was a past president of the United Hebrew Ladies Aid and was given a Women of Valor Scroll by the State of Israel.
She was on the original Indianapolis committee for Israel Bonds in 1948.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Beth-El and B’nai Torah sisterhoods and a member of Hadassah, Council of Jewish Women, B’nai B’rith Ladies Auxiliary and the Brandies Union.
Survivors are the husband, Samuel; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Engelberg and Mrs. Leonora Levin; a sister, Mrs. Edith Bottigheimer all of Indianapolis; a brother, David C. Saxon of St. Johns, New Foundland; and 5 grandchildren.
