Billie Ruth Holmes age 83, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 3, 2016. Mrs. Holmes was born in Dora, Alabama.
Billie Ruth was preceded in death by her husband William Robert Holmes; parents Otis and Willodean Hand; son Richard Lee Holmes: and grandsons Randall Keith Holmes and William Matthew Taylor.
She is survived by her son Randall Dennis Holmes (Susan); two daughters Connie Darlene Stidham (David) and Mary Beth Brown (David): and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was a member of Crescent Ridge Church of Christ and a member of T. O. P. S., Inc.
Mrs. Holmes was known for her baking of delicious cakes including wedding cakes.
Visitation will be Friday, August 5, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:00 Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
