Tex Allen Black, age 54, of Lilly, died Friday, May 21, 2010, at his residence. Born in Ashburn, he was the son of the late George Alvin Black and Annie Lee Watson Black. He was a member of Bakerfield Baptist Church and a truck driver for Wilkes Trucking Company. Survivors include: Companion: Brenda Moore of Lilly Daughter: Katrina Hodges of Americus Son: George Alvin Black (Amy) of Lilly Sisters: Odell Wilson of Adel Annette Womack of Chula Norma Jean Reese of Baconton Brothers: John Black of Americus Nolan Black of Cordele Jerry Black of Ashburn Dennis Black of Ashburn Grandchildren: 10 A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, May 25 in Bakerfield Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Kirksey officiating. Interment will be private. The family may be contacted at the residence, 110 Bonaman Street in Lilly. Memorial gifts should be made to the family in care of Brenda Moore, PO Box 83, Lilly, GA 31051 to help defray expenses.
