Mae Lee Smith Bracewell, 96, of Port St. Joe, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at her home in Port Saint Joe. She was born Nov. 9, 1920 in Adrian, GA to Otha Julian Smith and Cora Lee Pettis Smith. She grew up in Apopka, and was the last surviving classmate of Apopka High School class of 1938. She married Joed Bracewell of Bristol on Sept. 12, 1938. They moved to Port St. Joe in 1942. She had memberships at First Baptist Church and Faith Bible Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joed Bracewell; her infant daughter, Sharon; her son, Robert “Bob” Julian; two brothers, O. J. Smith Jr., and William Ivey “Bill” Smith; and one sister, Eloise Lord.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Bracewell Clenney; three grandchildren, Eric Clenney and his wife, Stephanie, Jan Lenz and her husband, Jason, and Leeann Davidson and her husband, Paul; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 3 from 4-6 p.m. ET at Faith Bible Church, 801 20th Street, Port St. Joe.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 4, at 11 a.m. ET at Meacham Cemetery in Bristol with Pastor Coy Collins officiating.
