Lillie Beatrice Welch, of Buffalo Valley, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2017 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma at the age of 79. Bea was born April 18, 1938 in Albion, Oklahoma to Peter Joe Cephas and Edith (Whitson) Roberts.
Bea graduated her senior class as valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA in 1957. She went to Draughon School of Business of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in the late 1950's. She served her country in the United States Army. She enjoyed spending time reading, working her garden and growing flowers. She most of all loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She worked hard on her ranch.
She is survived by her daughter, Febrena Welch, of Haileyville, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Reagan Carter of Haileyville, Oklahoma, and Taylor Griffith of Claremore, Oklahoma; her stepson George Welch, wife Michelle of Melvern Arkansas; three step granddaughters: Rushelle, Jennifer, and Morgan of Malvern, Arkansas; three sisters; JoAnn Kirkes, husband Don of Albion, Oklahoma; Elene Schield, husband Frank of Norman, Oklahoma and Patricia Stripling, husband Glenn of Heavener, Oklahoma; two brothers: John Roberts, wife Elizabeth of Ada, Oklahoma and Willard Roberts, wife Ann of Tuskahoma, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews and one cousin.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at 4:00 pm at Albion Church of Christ in Albion, Oklahoma, with John Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Albion cemetery.
