James Andre` Batts, age 47, of Morristown, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clifford and Dorothy Ann Shields, and fraternal grandparents, Harry and Ilia Batts. He leaves behind his wife, Julia Batts; daughters, Jordan Batts (Cody) Pierce of Loudon, TN and Kianna Alexis Batts of Morristown; mother, Jean Batts of Jefferson City; father, James Warren Batts of Cleveland; step-children, Jacquewes (Christy) Reneau, Kaneatha Reneau (Ben) Raleigh, Katina Reneau, and Dee Dee Reneau; grandchildren, Grayson Pierce, Jadann Pierce, Ryder Pierce, and Cambryn Pierce; special step-granddaughter, Phoebe Skye Reneau Jones; sisters, Jennifer Warnock of Nashville and Robin Cannon of Acworth, GA; special aunt, Sheila Shields Treece; special cousins, Travis Phipps and Ty Hodge; best friends, Nick Carter and Ty Hodge; mother-in-law, Barbara Cameron; brother-in-law, John Cameron; and sister-in-law, Rhonda (Jeff) Sills; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends whom he loved very much. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, May 5th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 pm on Friday with Rev. Kenny Madison officiating. Family and friends will meet for a 10 am graveside service on Saturday, May 6th at Russellville Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
