In Memory of Daniel P. Forrest
June 8, 1990 ~ April 29, 2017

Daniel P. Forrest, 26, formerly of Rockton, Illinois, passed away from cardiac arrest due to a medication accident on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Seattle, Washington. He was born June 8, 1990, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of David Forrest and Pauline (Keehn) Fredin.

Daniel was a graduate of Hononegah High School and was attending Seattle Central College. He was a bright, loving young man with a genuine compassion and kindness for everyone he met and always cared more of others than himself.

Daniel had the ability to make friends quickly, make everyone around him feel special, and make them laugh with his wonderful sense of humor and wit. He had a bright future and was looking forward to the next chapter in his life, after college.

Daniel loved his family and friends, history, boating, music, movies, and loved nature and the out-of-doors. He was a Jeep enthusiast, loved the holidays, family get togethers, and just hanging out with friends. He was a lover of music, life, and his journey going to college, hanging out with new friends, and working towards his degree in Business and Marketing at the University of Washington.

Daniel marveled at the beauty of the scenery in Seattle, Washington, and took every opportunity he could to explore and go hiking on weekends to witness the beauty of nature and all it has to offer. His smile could light up a room like no one has ever witnessed. Daniel was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin.

He was very intelligent, but could stop and marvel at the wonder of a beautiful sunrise or moon on the horizon. He wanted everyone to share his enthusiasm for nature, knowledge and enjoyed long, intelligent conversations with people to discuss things that were important to him and to them with a completely open mind.

Daniel grew up playing hockey, football, baseball, skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and loved the water and boating with his family.

Daniel is survived by: his father, David; mother, Pauline; brother, Michael; grandfather, George Fredin; aunts, Elaine Olson (Steve), Trina Durstock, (Jay), Bonnie Peltola (Wally) and Jean Holm (Peter); uncle, Steve Forrest (Mary); and cousins.

He is predeceased by: infant sister, Melissa; grandfather, Robert Forrest; grandmothers, Helen Davis, Mary Fredin (Frisella), and Shirley Fredin.
