BARLOW FUNERAL HOME OBITUARY – 2017
Rita Greer, 82, of Fairfield died Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Signature Health Care at Colonial. She was born January 16, 1935 in Nelson County. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Little Union Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Norris Greer; parents, Harrison & Mary Trent; four sisters, Dorothy Sanders, Hazel Rummage, Annie Sanders, and Mary Alice Curtsinger; and brother, William Floyd Trent. She is survived by two sons, Don (Aline) Greer of Fairfield and Tony Greer of Lexington; one daughter, Patti Greer of Fairfield; six grandchildren, Leah Abang, Erica Gregonis, John Greer, Jonathan Greer, Tyler Greer, and Katie Houghlin; eight great-grandchildren; sister Ruby Curtsinger of Mt. Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Bro. Will Sipes will be officiating. Visitation will be 12-6 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 and 9-11 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to Little Union Baptist Church.
