He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Morris, who passed away on December 19, 2016. Greg passed away with a broken heart, mourning the loss of his wife.

Visitation was held Monday, February 20, 2017 at Community Family Funeral Home and service was held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Burial was in Earlham Cemetery.
