HUMPHRIES, William E. Jr., 37, of Chesterfield, died April 30, 2017, after crossing the finish line of the Carytown 10k, which he was proud to accomplish. He was born to William E. Humphries Sr. and the late Tammy Humphries nee Wright on August 24, 1979, the eldest of two sons. He graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 1998 and went on to get a business degree from John Tyler CC. After graduating Will went on to work for CVS Health beginning in 2000. Will is survived by his husband of 14 years, James Demitri, whom he met in July of 2003. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Humphries; grandmother, Ruth Wright; aunts, Debbie Bakun, Pat Brigman, Barbara Burcham, A. Marshall Kellison and Laura Humphries; uncle, Jimmy Wright; in-laws, Faith Baldwin; John Demitri, Brianne Gayle, Alyssa Demitri, Mason Gayle and Shaynah Gayle; many cherished cousins and lifelong friends. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where a funeral ceremony will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park. In honor of Will's wish to provide a loving home to a child in foster care, memorial tributes may be made to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption or www.c2adopt.org.
