Jackie Lee (Jensen) Mitchell, age 68, of Eagle, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.
Jackie was born on October 28, 1948 in West Allis, WI the daughter of the late Nancy Louise Fluhr (1926-2015). Jackie was a graduate of Nathan Hale High School and married Dale Mitchell on August 22, 1970 in West Allis. Jackie was a longtime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where she was the church secretary for many years. Jackie was involved with many veterans’ organizations; she belonged to the American Legion Post 304 Auxiliary and the 40 et 8 Cabane 856 where she held Grande and National offices as well as earning the Dame of the Year award nationally and from the state of Wisconsin in 2016. Jackie was the manager at Subway in Whitewater for 10 years and worked at Commercial Bank until her retirement in 2004.
Beloved wife of Dale, loving mother of Jill (Timothy) Pett of Racine, Jeremy (Kristi) Mitchell of Dousman, Paula (Roy) Zimmerman of Marshall, cherished grandma, dear niece of Patricia and Shirley Ratzmann. Jackie was loved and will be remembered by other relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Fluhr.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 5:00PM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 313 Main St. Palmyra with Pastor Steven Blyth officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until the time of service on Sunday at the church. Private burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, WI.
