Douglas M. Bedwell, age 73, of Bristol, TN passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital.
He was a native of Bristol and a son to the late Carl and Hallie Lambert Bedwell.
Mr. Bedwell was a retired truck driver and served his community coaching youth sports for many years at Central Elementary School and Western Little League. He was an avid UT and Tennessee High School sports fan.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Klinger Bedwell; children, David Bedwell and wife Sheila, John Bedwell and wife Teri, Bobby Bedwell and wife Kristi; grandchildren, Ben, Tyler, Olyvia, Justin, Evan, and Griffin; and two nieces, Kim and Vicki.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 6 pm in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Playl officiating assisted by Rev. Tony Thompson.
The committal service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Eastern Heights Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Jenkins, Jimmy Nelson, Albert Mobley, Justin Bedwell, Evan Bedwell, Jordan Fox, Travis Campbell and Tyler Bedwell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Crusaders Baseball Team.
