Gary Roger Osborne May 9, 1940 - April 28, 2017 Gary lost his battle with cancer on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the age of 76, surrounded by his family. He will be missed by all who loved him. Gary was born in Webster, South Dakota, and moved to Marysville, Washington at the age of two years, where he lived most of his life. He joined the Marines at age 17 and always said that decision was the thing that made him a man. Being a Marine was one of his proudest accomplishments. After leaving the military, he worked as a carpenter for 40 years and was a member of Carpenters Local Union 562. Gary was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Diana; sons, Monty (Katie) Osborne, Larry (Chrissy) Osborne, and Gary D. Osborne; stepsons, Rick (Toni) Benson and Dean (Monica) Benson; brothers, Jim and Talton Osborne; grandchildren, Tyler (Toni) Duncan, LaShawn (Mo) Malvido, Kyler Osborne, Megan Osborne, Morgan Wiza, and Madelyn Benson; as well as six great grandchildren. Besides always having a home project he was working on, his true passion was fishing. He loved going to Eastern Washington, where he fished the Columbia River every chance he got. A military burial will be held on May 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., at Tahoma National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 20, 2017, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., at the Everett Eagles, 1216 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County or the Everett Animal Shelter.
