Kenneth Ray Dietz left his earthly life on Saturday, April 29, 2017 to be with his Lord and Savior for his eternal life, at the age of 69. Kenneth lost his battle to cancer after a few short weeks of treatments.

Kenneth was born in Fredericksburg, TX on May 11, 1947 to Elgin M. Conrad Dietz and Ola Bernice French Dietz. He was the eldest of their three children.

Kenneth and family moved to San Marcos, TX in 1955 where he attended the San Marcos school system from kindergarten through graduation in 1965. He then attended Southwest Texas State University for two years before being drafted into the United States Army, where he served for three years and was stationed in New Jersey. After the military Kenneth accepted a job with Gary Job Corps Center as an RA for ten years. Shortly after leaving Gary Job Corps Kenneth started his career with San Marcos Telephone Company in 1977, where he remained until retirement in 2009 after 32 years of service.

Kenneth’s passions included hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with his ten grandchildren.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debra Dietz; daughter and son-in-law, Shauna and Stephen Huddleston; son and daughter-in-law, John and Misty Dietz; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Villalpando; daughter Laine Keller; ten grandchildren, Kayla, Hailey, Alexandra, Colson, Johnathan-Bryce, Kennedy, David-Braedyn, Reed, Tamzyn-Grace and Michael III. Sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Michael Johnson; nieces, Christy Bader and husband Patrick Van Ravenzwaaij, Ashlie Alaniz and husband Gabe; nephew, Justin Johnson and wife Vianey; and great nieces and nephew, Thor Van Ravenzwaaij, Amelia, Clara, and Benjamim Alaniz, and Charlotte Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his father, Elgin M. Conrad Dietz, mother, Ola Bernice French Dietz, and sister Linda Joyce Dietz.

Honorary pallbearers are John Dietz, Stephen Huddleston, Michael Villalpando, Justin Johnson, Patrick Van Ravenzwaaij, Gabe Alaniz, Rodney Dietz, David Schlortt, and Fred Smith.

Family will receive friends at Pennington Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg, TX.
